Sustainable repair in the automotive industry

nitiativeWe have developed a programme where the automotive industry on one side and their customers (like consumer organisations, insurers, car-leasing companies and fleetowners) on the other side, participate. Objective is to constantly improve the sustainability during the life cycle of vehicles. Customers (as mentioned before) want's to have repair and maintenance done by garages and workshops that doe it propperly, but also on a sustainable way. Garages and bodyshops are certified if the work sustainable, in line with the book of requirements, that is administrated by the earlier mentioned consumers. In the Benelux more than 2.000 companies participate.

In Action

Because aswell consumers (insurance companies, consumer organisations, car-leasing companies) and the automotive companies work together, our programme has developed rapidly during the last five years. It also encourage the chemical industry to innovate with the aim to launche products that are less harmfull for the enviroment, the mechanics and the customers.

Programmes work better when we are not only relying on intrinsic motivation. It works better when sutainable business and workflow leads to a better business proportition, a sustainable competitive advantage.
